Farpost documents. It does not evaluate. Here's what that means in plain terms.
Farpost provides objective, non-invasive visual field documentation — photos, video, aerial imagery, measurements, and a record of what is observably present. Deliverables are for information and context only.
This service does not constitute a home inspection, structural engineering report, building-code compliance review, or any test for hidden hazards (mould, radon, asbestos, pests, and the like). No mechanical testing is performed, and no opinion is rendered on adequacy, safety, or value.
Where the record shows something that warrants a licensed trade or inspector — a wood stove that suggests a WETT inspection, a septic system, an electrical panel — Farpost documents its presence and notes it as an indicated next step. Farpost does not advise for or against any transaction or repair.
Drone capture is conducted under Transport Canada rules (Canadian Aviation Regulations, Part IX) and is subject to weather and airspace. Flight in controlled airspace requires NAV CANADA authorization, which may delay or limit aerial capture; some sites may not permit aerial work at all.
Clients booking a visit warrant that they own the property, or hold the owner's authorization to commission its documentation, and that lawful access has been arranged.
Deliverables are provided via the method confirmed at booking. Standard turnaround is 5–7 days; Rush (+$75) is faster, confirmed at time of booking.
This page summarizes the scope of service in plain terms for anyone browsing before booking. A complete service agreement covering the same points is reviewed and signed at the time of booking.
